Created in partnership with Galeria.ag, the action announces the return of McFish from June 11th, for a limited time
McDonald’s announced the return of McFish in a special edition for a limited time, throughout Brazil.
To celebrate the news, “Méqui” went to Alaska to record the series “McFish – The Regresso”. Created in partnership with Galeria.ag, the action introduces consumers to the origin of the fish in the snack and reinforces the company’s focus on sustainability with its ingredients and suppliers.
“The first season of McFish’s return satisfied the longing of the most passionate fans and fell in love with many other consumers who had never experienced this classic, but who also became fans and were looking forward to living this experience again. Now, with McFish’s Return We want to show what makes this sandwich so special and highlight the entire flavor journey from the frozen seas of Alaska to our restaurants throughout Brazil”, says Sérgio Eleutério, marketing director at McDonald’s.
With a visual language inspired by cinematographic series, the campaign included the trailer being shown in cinemas and a digital strategy, promoting the series on social media, and a special launch for more than 200 McFish Lovers.
The production has four episodes and shows the story of three consumers passionate about McFish who traveled to Alaska to look for the polaca fish, which gives rise to the snack. The episodes are now available on McDonald’s Brazil YouTube.
“This campaign is, above all, a content and entertainment project. The decision to go to Alaska to look for McFish’s main ingredient takes our project to a new level of emotion and storytelling. Furthermore, we brought characters who have McFish as an important point in their trajectories, and we are bringing Méqui even closer to the public with a story that informs and entertains”, explains Rodrigo Marangoni, executive creative director at Galeria.ag.
The snack will be available, for a limited time, from June 11th in the chain’s restaurants throughout Brazil.
