The billionaire Elon Musk It’s been a bit of a complicated week. In recent days, the owner of the Tesla faced a huge drop in sales of its electric cars. A report from Sherwood released images captured by satellite in March this year that show the parking lot of the company’s large factory, located in Texas (USA), full of unsold vehicles.
This accumulation, which is due to a decline in demand for electric cars and increased competition with cheaper alternatives, such as the Chinese BYD, has worried investors about the future of Tesla, which is expected to start producing more affordable cars only in next year. Furthermore, Musk’s constant controversial behavior, who was involved in a controversy this Monday (10) with the OpenAI it’s at Applehas kept potential buyers away.
A vote is expected to take place this week on Elon Musk’s US$56 billion (around R$300 billion at current exchange rate) compensation package, which could decide the billionaire’s future at the company.
Musk X OpenAI e Apple
If Tesla’s current situation wasn’t already delicate enough for Musk’s public relations, he was involved in yet another controversy this week.
The owner of Tesla and Twitter Withdrew a lawsuit, which it filed at the end of February, against OpenAI and its CEO, Sam Altman, accusing them of having deviated from the company’s initial altruistic objective, when he participated in its creation in 2015, in search of profit. The request to dismiss the case, which had been going on for months, came a day before the court was scheduled to hear Altman’s motion to dismiss the case.
The situation became even narrower when OpenAI responded that Elon Musk supported the idea of creating a for-profit structure within the company, even suggesting a merger with Tesla.
But the request to archive the process was not the end of the rivalry between Musk and OpenAI, which took on an even greater proportion this Monday, when Apple revealed the new partnership with Sam Altman’s company for the development of Apple Intelligence, a update of the Siri voice assistant that will be driven by ChatGPT.
When announcing the news, Elon fired several negative criticisms on his social network about the partnership. Check it out below:

“If Apple integrates OpenAI at the operating system level, Apple devices will be banned in my companies. This is an unacceptable security breach.
And visitors will have to check their Apple devices at the door, where they will be stored in a Faraday cage,” Musk said.
He completed his position by teasing that OpenAI will not be able to guarantee Apple’s security and privacy.
It’s patently absurd that Apple isn’t smart enough to make their own AI, yet is somehow capable of ensuring that OpenAI will protect your security & privacy!
Apple has no clue what’s actually going on once they hand your data over to OpenAI. They’re selling you down the river.

“It is clearly absurd that Apple is not smart enough to create its own AI, but is somehow able to ensure that OpenAI protects its security and privacy!
Apple has no idea what’s really going on after they hand over their data to OpenAI. They are selling you down the river”, concluded the Twitter owner.
Despite Musk’s revolt, the situation seems to be more favorable for Apple. It was revealed that the market value of the apple rose to more than US$3 billion, marking a historic milestone for the company. Furthermore, Apple reinforced that one of the focuses of Apple Intelligence is on users’ privacy, promising that no data will be stored on the company’s servers and that neither they nor OpenAI will have access to this information, making the Tesla owner’s accusations unfounded.
