In 2022, Burger King had to change the name of the, until then, Whopper Costela after a determination by Procon-SP that found that the snack actually contained pork shoulder. Two years later, the chain announced the launch of King Rib — this one with shredded rib.
Along with the snack, BK also presented a campaign, signed by David, which thanks the foundation for the first notification and shows that the past helped the network rethink its attitudes.
Produced by Kaus, the video displays the headlines of the notification sent by Procon-SP to Burger King, accompanied by a narration explaining that the brand does not hold any grudges for changing the name of the sandwich or for taking it out of circulation.
The snack will be available from this Thursday (13th) in all of the chain’s restaurants in Brazil.
