Today was the day for the most charming award of the season, the SAG Awards. Too bad TNT once again chose not to show it here in Brazil. And it left all of us fans sucking our thumbs. This year’s awards had several surprises. That includes best actress for Jessica Chastain, and all the great love shown by the actors of Round 6. Not to mention the victory of In the Rhythm of the Heart in the most important award of the night, the film cast. I’m not saying the productions/actings aren’t good. Because I haven’t seen it yet.s Eyes of Tammy Faye, for example. But they were quite unexpected. And in the case of Round 6 e In the Rhythm of the Heart unfair, in my opinion.
But the story is like that. Other awards were expected such as Succession (drama series cast), or Kate Winslet (Mare of Easttown) as a miniseries actress. Now it’s time to wait for the Critics Choice to see what direction the Season will take until the big Oscar party a month from now.
