Activation promotes sustainability during the eighth stage of the World Surfing Circuit
sportv announced that it will be present between the 22nd and 30th of June at the eighth stage of the World Surfing Circuit (WSL), in Saquarema, in the Lagos Region of Rio de Janeiro, with a stand created with 100% sustainable material.
In partnership with WSL, the channel will promote trash recycling on the beach. The public will be able to exchange PET bottles and cans for exclusive gifts, including an album of collectible stickers and personalized photos. To complete the album, the public will have to go through four phases, delivering a total of 28 plastic bottles or cans to the stand. Anyone who arrives at the stand with five items will automatically receive a personalized keychain, in the shape of a keel or surfboard.
At the end of the stage, all waste recycled during the competition will be recycled by the NGO Eco Local, created in 2002, and which has since worked on cleaning beaches, providing environmental education in schools and managing waste. The initiative reiterates Globo’s commitment to the environment.
