Limited edition of the chocolate will have part of the sales donated to the reconstruction of houses in the state
For the first time, Garoto will change the logo on the packaging of the classic milk chocolate in celebration of Farroupilha Week, one of the most important events in Rio Grande do Sul.
The limited edition, called “Guri”, celebrates Gaucho traditions using a regional linguistic variation that reflects the way “Garoto” is called in the region. The novelty, which will be sold exclusively in Rio Grande do Sul, will have part of the sales going to the NGO Habitat para a Humanidade, with the aim of contributing to the reconstruction of houses that need emergency repairs in the state.
“The South region is extremely important for the chocolate category, especially for Garoto. The special edition “Guri” was created to celebrate the culture and traditions of Rio Grande do Sul, reflecting all the affection and respect we have for the local people. We feel a great satisfaction in knowing that this product, in addition to paying homage to local culture, will allow the brand to reciprocate the affection received, helping those who need support most at this time”, explains Mariana Marcussi, chocolate marketing director at Nestlé.
“Guri” will be available in a limited edition from July at points of sale in Rio Grande do Sul while stocks last.
