Attention Web-heads! A Puma launched a “spectacular” sneaker in partnership with Marvel. The new Puma Suede combines red, black and white colors, featuring the iconic web pattern and the classic spider symbol on the heel to pay homage to the uniform of the Brooklyn neighborhood friend, Miles Morales’ Spider-Man.

With a design that captures the essence of Marvel’s New York Afro-Latin American hero, the Puma Suede x Miles Morales is available in selected stores in the United States, such as Foot Locker, for US$90 (approximately R$ 496 at the current rate). At the time of publishing this article, there is still no information about the availability of the product in Brazil.
This is not the first time that Miles Morales’ Spider-Man has graced a brand’s famous models. In 2023, to accompany the launch of the game Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, exclusive to PlayStation 5a adidas created, in partnership with Sony and Insomniac Games, versions of the Ultra 4D sneaker inspired by the Spider-Men duo Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
While the model inspired by Peter Parker is based on the concept of his advanced suit being dominated by the alien symbiote that will later give life to the villain Venom, Miles Morales’ Ultra 4D is part of the hero’s new uniform, being used by the young man during the story of the game. In addition to Puma and adidas, the Web-head from Brooklyn also printed one of the most famous models of the Nikethe Air Jordan 1. The sneaker, released during the film ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’, features a version of the classic Jordan colorway Chicago, with designs inspired by the hero’s comic books, including colorful geometric shapes that refer to the portals used by the multiple versions of the hero that appear in the feature film.

Every year, more partnerships between fashion brands and Marvel are emerging, highlighting the popularity and cultural impact of the Spider-Man universe (now multiverse) on society. These collaborations reinforce how the young character Miles Morales has connected with the public through clothing, Afro-Latin culture, and, mainly, through his unique and disruptive style.
