Favela Holding, the largest group of favela companies in the country, announces the launch of its twenty-eighth company, the music label ‘F Records’ in partnership with Sony Music Publishing. The official launch of the label took place at CUFA’s headquarters, in the Penha complex, in Rio de Janeiro, when Celso Athayde, CEO of Favela Holding and Aloysio Reis, Managing Director of Sony Music publishing, publicly signed the contract that represents the partnership.
“We believe in the transformative potential of music and are proud to be part of this innovative project that combines talent and social impact,” says Aloysio Reis, Managing Director of Sony Music publishing.
The objective of this initiative is to reveal and promote new musical talents from favelas across the country, offering a platform for their voices to be heard and valued. The ceremony was symbolic and was attended by members of CUFA from the region, Sony managers and artists from the favela itself as witnesses of the act.
“We are very excited about this collaboration with Sony Music. The F Records label is yet another powerful tool to show the world the incredible talent that exists in the favelas. Our mission is to create opportunities and paths for these artists to shine and reach new horizons”, says Celso Athayde, founder of Favela Holding and F- Records.
