A Lenovo is the new owner of the naming rights for the São Paulo Grand Prix Formula 1 in 2024. The change has already been made official on the race’s website. The Chinese multinational takes over the place occupied by Rolex, which owned the property in 2023. From 2017 to 2022, the same sponsorship was from Heineken, which held the name of the Brazilian stage of the main category of world motorsport.
In this way, Lenovo will have the name of the race at the Autódromo de Interlagos for the first time. In 2024, the São Paulo GP will have training sessions between the 1st and 2nd of November, with a sprint race on the 2nd. The main race will be on Sunday (3rd). It is worth remembering that Lenovo already had the naming rights (and its traditional technological trophy) of the Chinese Grand Prix this year, the company’s home country.
Due to a natural change in strategy between seasons, this “rotation” in naming rights for races is common. In the current season, only the Monaco, Hungary and Mexico stages do not have naming agreements.
