Central de Outdoor held an exclusive webinar for members with the theme “Highlights of the WOO 2024 Annual Congress”. The meeting highlighted the main insights from the World OOH Congress, held by World OOH, in the city of Hong Kong, China, which took place in early June.
The webinar was presented by Guilherme Meyer, director and CEO of VEX OOH, who showed numbers and the growth of the OOH industry in Brazil and shared with participants his perceptions about the foreign media of the countries in which he stopped during his trip and showed two presentations that were made at the event.
Guilherme Meyer highlighted two main highlights from dozens of lectures: that of Tom Goddard, President of the World Out of Home Organization, who showed a general overview of the sector in the world; and the lecture by the National OOH Association of South Korea, which highlighted how outdoor media is organized in the country and the success of creating “free OOH zones” in Seoul, South Korea, a space created specifically for broadcasting advertising in outdoor media.
“One of the points explored by several of the speakers was the growth of retail media, or media in retail. This will be the big explosion of OOH in the coming years,” says Meyer.
Guilherme ended the webinar with an overview of the technical visits to LED manufacturers in China, in the city of Shenzhen, in addition to highlighting high technology and innovation, highlighting the quality of the products and efficiency for the outdoor media.
