With five flavors, the products were improved with the support of artificial intelligence
NotCo has launched the NotShake Protein line, which features five flavors and more sustainable packaging.
Along with the chocolate, caramel coffee and vanilla with coconut options, the category brings exclusive new features, such as banana pancakes with cinnamon and strawberry with dates. All flavors have 16g of proteins per unit and an average of 3.5g of carbohydrates. Furthermore, the product has no added sugar, contains vitamins D and B12 and is lactose-free, cholesterol-free and gluten-free.
NotShake Protein is an evolution of NotMilk High Protein, which was improved with the support of Giuseppe, the foodtech’s proprietary artificial intelligence. While the first protein drink took 10 months to reach its final version, the new formula, focused on nutritional and sensory gains, was ready in just 4 months, which represents how much AI is capable of accelerating the process of creating increasingly better products.
“Currently, most protein shakes feel “heavy” and are very sweet. We wanted to go against this trend by launching a lighter, less sweet product that could meet the demand for both common flavors and more mature and demanding palates. And, to complete the goal of improving the consumer experience, we also prioritized maintaining the highest protein intake and lowest amount of carbohydrates in an on-the-go model in this category,” explains André Weinmann, president of NotCo in Brazil.
NotCo also presented special packaging for NotShake Protein that is aligned with the BCorp seal, which measures sustainable impact in the corporate environment. In addition to visually referencing the company’s technology, it is environmentally friendly, which is guaranteed by the partnership with EuReciclo, a company that collaborates with foodtech in environmental compensation. Thus, for each packaging used, another is recycled.
