“The Last Plan” has four episodes, with new releases on Mondays
G1 announced the launch of the podcast “O Último Plano”, which delves behind the scenes of the creation of our current currency and shows, in detail, the movements that preceded the end of an era in which hyperinflation reached 2,000% per year, generating serious consequences for the lives of Brazilians.
Created and hosted by journalist Renata Ribeiro, the podcast traces a timeline of the main political and historical milestones that influenced Brazil’s economic decline and the plan that put an end to it. It also brings the perspective of those who experienced the events, including ordinary citizens, journalists and economists who led the creation of the Real. “This is not an economics podcast. The economic explanation of how all this happened is very interesting. But the stories of those who made it happen are much more interesting,” says Renata.
