After a year of absence, the founder of Chilli Beans and one of the most beloved sharks in the country, Caito Maiais back to Shark Tank Brasil for a special appearance that will be shown in the second half of 2024. Maia, who participated in the program for six seasons, returns to meet new entrepreneurs and their innovative ideas.
“The entire time I was on Shark Tank Brazil was very enriching. I met people with a sparkle in their eyes talking about beautiful projects. Since life is made up of cycles, I decided to end mine last year. I was very honored by the requests for me to return to the program for a special appearance. I am already very excited to meet the new entrepreneurs who will take the STB stage. Let’s promote entrepreneurship in this country, guys!”, says Caito.
Aired on Sony Channel since 2016, the reality show Shark Tank Brazil features aspiring entrepreneurs who try to win investments from the “sharks.” During his six seasons on the show, Maia invested in several projects that continue to grow in the market.
In addition to his role on Shark Tank Brazil, Caito Maia is one of the most influential businessmen in the country, leading Chilli Beans, the largest sunglasses chain in Latin America, and Ótica Chilli Beans, which ranks third in the ranking of the largest opticians in Brazil. Maia is also the presenter of the programs ‘Se Parar, o Sangue Esfria’ on 89FM and ‘Mão na Marca’ on Flow SA.
Maia’s career in the business world began in the 1990s, when he sold glasses he bought in California while studying music in the United States. In 1998, determined to invest in his own brand, he opened the first Chilli Beans store in Galeria Ouro Fino, in São Paulo (SP). Chilli Beans currently has more than 1,000 points of sale in Brazil and abroad.
Known as the most charismatic “shark” on Shark Tank Brazil, Caito Maia continues to inspire new entrepreneurs with his market vision, and despite the growth of the business, he makes a point of participating in everything that happens at the Chilli Beans chain.
