More than 100,000 people visited São Paulo Expo over the five days of the event
Gamescom Latam brought together more than 100,000 people over the five days of the event at São Paulo Expo in its first edition, exceeding the expectations of Gustavo Steinerg, CEO of the event.
According to the executive, the first edition showed the importance of the gaming industry in Latin America. “We doubled the number of visitors to last year’s BIG Festival and the expectation is that in 2025 this number will increase even more. Next year we will be in a new place that is twice the size of this edition,” he celebrated.
Speaking of next year, those interested can already write down the dates in their diaries because the second edition of Gamescom Latam will take place between April 30th and May 4th, at the Anhembi Convention Center, in São Paulo.
Regarding sponsors and participating brands, the numbers were also positive. In total, the event had 13 sponsors and more than a thousand brands from 54 different countries, 73 exhibitors, 51 co-exhibitors and 47 experience spaces for the public.
A Gamescom Latam 2024 também contou com 17 content partners, sendo eles Atari, Bandai Namco, CipSoft, Epic Games, Fellow Traveler, Frost Giant Games, Google Play, Gravity, Honor of Kings, Nintendo, SEGA, Square Enix, Supercell, TecToy, Ubisoft, Warner Bros. Games e Whitethorn Games.

The result exceeded expectations, both in terms of general public visits and in the business area, and is a milestone for the gaming industry in Latin America. We received positive feedback from international exhibitors, which resulted in renewals for the 2025 edition, giving us even more confidence in a great event next year,” said Beni Piatetzky, General Director of Koelnmesse Brazil.
The event also aimed to be a business hub, with almost 2,000 professionals from 66 countries, representing 1,020 companies, coming to gamescom latam in search of opportunities for agreements and investments. In total, more than 11,000 meetings were requested and the expectation is for more than US$200 million in new business prospects.

It was exciting for fans and fruitful for visitors, companies and international partners. Thanks to all teams from all partners who did an excellent job at this first edition,” said Felix Falk, Managing Director of game – German Games Industry Association and brand owner of gamescom.
Gamescom Latam also had 226 hours of scheduled content, which allowed participants to learn about the industry’s vision and its future with some of the international figures and follow 194 panels, with 62 of them broadcast, led by 434 speakers.
Speakers included David Alpert, producer of The Walking Dead and CEO of Skybound Entertainment; Chance Glasco, co-creator of the Call of Duty franchise; Pawel Sasko, associate director of games at CD PROJEKT RED; Mike Foster, senior global account manager at Sony Interactive Entertainment; and Tim Morten, CEO of Frost Giant Games, among many others.
“The first Gamescom LATAM was a success. We are happy with the results. We delivered an event with major announcements, partners and with the DNA of Gamescom, but also focused on the Latin American audience that attended the event. For 2025, our focus is to improve and continue growing alongside the gaming industry on the continent,” highlighted Pierre Mantovani, CEO of Omelete Company.
Finally, more than 314 communication channels participated in the event, in addition to Brazilian and international media partners that followed gamescom latam, such as IGN Global (USA), Gamersky (China), Terra, IGN Brasil, The Enemy, Rádio Mix, PlayTV, Canal Woohoo, Meu Playstation, We Super OOH, 3D Juegos (Mexico) and Cultura Geek (Argentina).
