Imagine walking into a futuristic corporate event where, instead of traditional receptionists, you are greeted by elegantly dressed robots with friendly but clearly robotic facial expressions. Fiction? No, reality.
The use of service robots is transforming the interaction between companies and attendees at corporate events. Robotic technology offers a modern and efficient approach to reception and assistance during these events, providing a unique experience from check-in onwards. A notable example is Robios Go from Human Robotics, a startup that creates social and customizable robots for in-person service. These robots can be programmed to serve attendees in a friendly and proactive manner.
“Its ability to interact through voice commands, answers to frequently asked questions and precise guidance contribute to a more dynamic and personalized reception. It ends up making the experience fun, where users better remember the suggested information”, explains Olivier Smadja, CEO of Human Robotics.
Hellen Borges, Head of Innovation at Ligga Telecom, highlights the numerous benefits provided by using Robios Go at its events.
“Robotic technology conveys an image of an innovative company. Robots offer participants an original experience, sparking curiosity and providing a competitive edge that attracts the attention of the media and the public present at the event,” says the executive.
Robots can welcome participants, transmit important information about the event, lectures, workshops and other activities, ensuring that everyone is well informed and engaged. The presence of Robios Go creates a technologically advanced environment, aligning the company’s image with modernity and efficiency.
“In the case of Ligga, as a technology company, it is important that we maintain this image, offering a differentiated experience that engages the public and can attract even more partners, boosting business”, says Hellen.
In addition to reception, robots can be programmed to perform entertainment activities, such as quizzes interactive, promoting moments of relaxation and networking among participants. The versatility of Robios Go expands the possibilities for interaction during the event, making it more interesting. Operational efficiency is also improved, since the robots can be programmed to perform specific tasks, optimizing logistics processes and allowing the team to focus on more strategic activities.
“This ability of the robot to convey information clearly and efficiently is possible thanks to artificial intelligence, which also allows it to interact authentically, displaying facial expressions such as blinking and smiling. This is what makes it so captivating during events,” highlights Olivier Smadja.
According to the Brazilian Association of Event Promoters (Abrape), the sector represents 3.8% of Brazil’s GDP, with an annual turnover of R$291.1 billion, and encompasses a wide range of activities, from large conferences and corporate events to weddings and social events. In addition to boosting tourism, events stimulate local commerce and promote economic growth in several areas, playing a significant role in the country’s economy.
According to research by Symplaa ticketing and event management platform, the number of corporate events showed an increase of around 36% in the first quarter of 2023 compared to the last quarter of the previous year.
