E-commerce distributes R$177 thousand in prizes in competitions for players of all levels.
July Gamer is now in on mode. The Kaboom!bigger e-commerce technology and gaming community in Latin America, pressed the K button and started season 2 of the championships open to the entire community. This year, Starter SF6 arrives for its second edition and promises to be one of the highlights among tournaments and gaming enthusiasts. Street Fighter 6.
Developed by KaBuM!GG, a specialist in the brand’s gaming ecosystem that works to activate communities in the segment, Starter SF6 was born as the largest championship of the modality in Brazil 2023. The first edition reserved a prize pool of R$9,000 and established itself as the largest Street Fighter 6 tournament in Latin America, in terms of number of participants. This year, registrations could be made on the July Gamer campaign hotsite and were open until July 10, at 12 pm (Quali 1) and today (11), at 12 pm (Quali 2). To make everything even more special, the competition is hosted by Igor.3k and commented by Vini Oliveira.
On July 10th, at 8pm, Qualify 1 took place with a Watch Party with community streamers keeping an eye on every detail. Today, the tournament moves on to Qualify 2 (8pm), also with streams from the crowd. The playoffs are scheduled for tomorrow (12), starting at 8 pm. The caster Vini Oliveira, who runs one of the largest fighting game channels in Latin America, Punho do Dragão, will be the official broadcaster of the matches. The final will be broadcast live on July 13, starting at 8 pm. The first place winner will win R$7,000, the second place winner will take home R$5,000 and the third place winner will receive R$3,000.
On July 7, KaBuM! held a special championship event at its physical store located in the capital of São Paulo, KaBuM! Store Fight. In partnership with Fighting Games Club, an organization that promotes fighting game events, the event had 32 participants (in order of registration, already completed), in a double elimination FT2 and FT3 playoffs format. Among the names present were: ChuChu, Keoma, Jah_lexe, Namikaze and NotPedro. The event was attended by streamer Bomber, who narrated the matches live. The first place winner took home R$1,700 and also secured a direct spot for the playoffs of the Starter SF6. Second place received R$800 and third place won R$500.
On the same day, starting at 1 pm, the brand held a special edition of Flow Games, with Juninho-Ras and Spada as guests alongside host Igor.3k, who presented news about Starter SF6.
July Gamer Championships
During Gamer July, KaBuM! is back with championships for the entire community. There will be four competitions with registrations open to the public by phases and for all skill levels, whether on PC, console or even mobile, in addition to live streams and offers for ninjas to participate. They are: Super Ladder (League of Legends), Starter SF6 (Street Fighter 6), Legends CS:2 (Counter-Strike 2) and CBBS (Brawl Stars Brazilian Cup). In addition, there will be an inclusive competition for invited participants, Super Stars, focused on Valorant. In total, R$177 thousand reais will be distributed to the gaming community, the largest total prize ever awarded by KaBuM! in championships.
In addition to the tournaments, KaBuM! has prepared several actions to engage the public. Through the Torcida da Galera, the community will be able to vote for their favorite teams on KaBuM!’s social networks. The team with the most engaged fans will receive a bonus. While the competitions are taking place, there will be official live broadcasts of the matches from all stages of the championships, made by streamers on their respective channels. The ninjas will also have the format of Watch Partyi.e, streams carried out by community members in the elimination stages. During the month, three podcasts and special guests will address not only topics related to Gamer July, but will also debate the most relevant topics and opinions in this universe.
