Shopee and L’Oréal Group have announced the launch of Skin Cam, an augmented reality (AR) tool that allows users to assess their skin in real time using their smartphone camera.
The feature provides personalized recommendations based on detailed facial analysis, as well as allowing the user to receive a personalized care routine, with cosmetic suggestions.
“The launch of Skin Cam is another step forward in the partnership between L’Oréal Group and Shopee to innovate in the beauty sector and provide a more interactive experience for consumers. With the tool, we want to transform the way consumers buy skincare products online by facilitating their choice with personalized and accurate recommendations, increasing and increasing satisfaction and confidence in online shopping,” said Felipe Lima, responsible for new business development at Shopee.
The technology was developed by Modiface, a L’Oréal Group company, and will be available on a special page in the Shopee app for some L’Oréal Mainstream brands such as L’Oréal Paris Skin and Garnier.
