The long-awaited sequel ‘Inside Out 2’, from Disney e Pixarhas finally arrived in Brazilian cinemas, thrilling and enchanting audiences. With an impressive 4.5 million viewers and a box office of R$96.3 million, the film achieved the second biggest opening of all time in Brazil and the biggest opening for an animated film.
The continuation of the story follows the teenager Riley, whose mind undergoes a sudden demolition of the control center, giving way to new emotions. Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who have long led a successful operation, face the arrival of Anxiety, Shame, Boredom and Envy, bringing challenges and new emotional dynamics.
To give voice to the new characters, Disney invited Tata Werneck to voice Anxiety, Eli Ferreira to play Boredom, Fernando Mendonça to play Shame, and Gaby Milani to play Envy. Joy, Fear, Disgust, Anger and Sadness continue to be voiced by Miá Mello, Otaviano Costa, Dani Calabresa, Leo Jaime and Katiuscia Canoro, respectively, as in ‘Inside Out’ (2015).
Critics praised the sequel for its engaging story and captivating characters, highlighting the film as a work for all ages. Audiences responded positively, packing out movie theaters across the country and sharing their reactions on social media. The film will continue to be shown during the July holidays.
