The creation of British writer JK Rowling, Harry Potterwill have its first street race. And the best part: it will be in Brazil, more specifically in the city of São Paulo. The ‘Harry Potter Fun Run’ will be held on October 5th, at Villa-Lobos Park, in the west zone of the capital of São Paulo.
The organization will be by EA Run and will only feature the 5 km route, whether for runners or walkers, and the start is scheduled for 7 pm.
When registering, you will need to choose the house you would like to “defend.” After all, there are four houses at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw. Then, choose between three possible kits. Called Platform 9 ¾, the cheapest one costs R$199.00 and includes the chosen house’s t-shirt, themed box, chest number, and medal. The second option costs R$315.00 and, in addition to all the pieces mentioned, will include a cup and a sock. This one is called Diagon Alley.
The most expensive, Hogsmeade, costs R$414.00. In addition to everything that comes in the other kits, the athlete will receive a ticket to the event ‘Harry Potter: The Exhibition’, which will be held at Oca, inside Ibirapuera Park, starting on August 22nd. The kits will be delivered during the COB Expo, an event organized by the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB), between September 26th and 29th.
On the day of the race, the organization highlighted that the Praça da Música, in Villa-Lobos Park, will feature themed sponsor activations. The Fini candy brand and the Polpanorte açaí and juice brand will be present.
Barbie Run
65 years ago, the Barbie inspires people around the world and now arrives in Brazil for the first time with Barbie Run. The experience begins in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), on September 8, with a race on Copacabana Beach, a Rio de Janeiro landmark. In São Paulo (SP), the race will take place on October 13, at Villa Lobos Park. The street race will have two stages and 3 km and 5 km courses, designed to bring together and entertain all fans of the character. The events will be organized by Vega Sports, in partnership with Mattel, the company that owns the brand.

‘You can be anything’ is an anthological slogan inspired by the doll’s creator, Ruth Handler, which represents this race format, where everyone can participate in this immersion into the Barbie universe. Whether it’s a 3 km walk or a 5 km run.
Barbie Run is a race for adults, with international editions already established in Mexico, China and this year also coming to Chile. The entire event is inspired by the brand’s values such as positivity, playfulness, inclusion and empowerment.
