Latest preview highlights the dynamics between the heroes and presents important plot details.
With one week to go until the premiere of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’, the Marvel Studios and actor Ryan Reynolds, responsible for bringing the anti-hero Deadpool to life, released the latest trailer for the film, which has become one of the most anticipated of the year after the high number of tickets sold in advance.
Packed with comedic and emotional moments, the trailer highlights the complex dynamics of friendship and enmity between Deadpool and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman). The preview also reveals new details about the plot, including the past of the new version of the character played by Jackman 24 years ago, never-before-seen scenes of the villain Cassandra Nova and an important special appearance for Wolverine.
Check out the trailer below:
In the clip released, Deadpool seeks the help of a reluctant Wolverine, who prefers to stay away from the hero life, to save his universe. Meanwhile, Wolverine remembers and mourns the passing of his former teammates from the mutant superhero team X-Men, such as Scott (Cyclops), Storm and Beast.
During one of the most impactful moments of the trailer, the character Laura Kinney (Dafne Keen) appears to surprise fans. Known as X-23, Laura is a clone and adopted daughter of Wolverine who made her big screen debut in the film Logan (2017). In her brief appearance in the clip, X-23 convinces the hero to resume his role as “The X-Men” (as Deadpool refers to him) to save the universe from the loudmouth mercenary played by Reynolds.
The end of the preview focuses on the confrontations that the protagonists will have in the feature film. Among the adversaries, Wolverine’s arch-enemy, Sabretooth, and the villain Cassandra Nova, known in the comics for being the sister of Professor Charles Xavier, leader of the X-Men, stand out.
Despite revealing some spoilers important, the latest trailer for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ served to increase the excitement of fans (I include myself in this group *laughs*) who will be able to check out the new chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe starting next Thursday (25).
