Brand strategy includes coverage of games with content on social media
Avon has announced two-time Olympic champion Jaqueline Carvalho as its ambassador. The former athlete will be in Paris to provide special coverage and will present two series dedicated to the tournament.
In the segment titled “What’s up?”, in reference to her name, the athlete will reveal what she can’t miss on a trip to Paris, including the Avon makeup and cosmetics that will accompany her throughout her trip to the country.
The brand will also launch the “Torcida Avon” initiative, where Internet users will be able to follow in Jaque’s footsteps and also share their experiences with the brand’s products.
“The partnership between Avon and athlete Jaque reinforces our ongoing commitment to empowering women in sports. We have dedicated ourselves to supporting and valuing women’s sports, highlighting icons like Marta in our campaigns and promoting gender equality in all our actions,” says Juliana Barros, communications and marketing director at Avon Brazil.
Previously, the brand had already partnered with other athletes, such as Marta, voted best player in the world six times by FIFA; Pâmela Rosa, two-time world champion in street skateboarding; Raissa Machado, gold medalist at the Paralympic Athletics World Championships in javelin throwing; and Vitória Rosa, gold medalist at the 2019 Pan American Games in athletics.
