Executive had been with the company since 2015
Marketing and communications director, Alex Rocco left Sky late Friday afternoon (26), according to sources from propmark. The executive had been with the company since November 2015, when he left Nextel’s marketing department to take over at Sky.
During this period, Rocco led the restructuring of Sky’s online area, in addition to coordinating the launch of the streaming platform, Sky+, in eight Latin American countries, including Brazil.
It was also under Rocco’s management that Sky won its first Lion at Cannes Lions, in 2022, with the ‘Pirate Match’ case, made in partnership with Mirum, which warned about pirated TVs.
At Sky, Rocco took over Directv’s communications and marketing during the expansion process into Latin America. However, when the company passed from the AT&T group to Werthein, he returned to lead the branding and communications fronts for the Sky brand in Brazil.
