Signed by Galeria, the piece invites the public to participate in the 36th edition of the campaign that helps children and youth causes
McDonald’s presented its campaign for the 36th edition of McDia Feliz, which will take place on August 24th.
Starring Ivete Sangalo, the piece signed by Galeria and produced by Reconcavo Company, invites Brazilians to participate in the campaign that, every year, donates the income generated from Big Mac sales, excluding taxes, to children and youth causes through projects aimed at health and education benefited by the Ronald McDonald Institute and the Ayrton Senna Institute.
The film follows the artist in a restaurant in Méqui accompanied by several people who are engaged in the McHappy Day campaign. In a festive atmosphere, she invites the public to get energized with the “Bloco do Bem” and, consequently, invite other people to participate in the cause.
“At McDonald’s, we are committed to generating a positive impact on society. And for 36 years, McHappy Day has been a special moment in which our more than 60,000 employees join forces with institutes, institutions, partners, volunteers and customers in a great chain of good. We want to achieve the largest fundraising in history and we are very pleased to have Ivete Sangalo as our ambassador and main ally in engaging the public throughout Brazil,” said Sérgio Eleutério, McDonald’s Marketing Director.
In addition to a TV film and advertisements in print media, the digital strategy includes a series of content with testimonials from people who have already benefited from the initiative and a landing page to encourage public engagement.
“Through Ivete Sangalo’s charisma, energy and ability to mobilize, more than just inviting the public to participate in McDia Feliz, the campaign aims to bring more people to participate in this ‘bloco’. Doing good is contagious and when someone participates in an action like this, other people around them participate too”, added Rodrigo Marangoni, Executive Creative Director of the Gallery.
This year, part of the income obtained from the sale of each sandwich will be added to an Open Fund created by Arcos Dorados, operator of the McDonald’s brand in Brazil, to contribute to restoring the dreams of families in Rio Grande do Sul.
