Communications company completes its corporate reorganization; Fernando Tornaim becomes partner
The RBS Group has completed the completion of the company’s corporate reorganization, which began in 2022. The process, led by Nelson Sirotsky, maintains the Sirotsky family’s controlling interest in the company. With this move, Rio Grande do Sul entrepreneur Fernando Tornaim becomes part of the media company’s corporate structure.
Nelson, together with his family, is increasing his stake in the business. The following groups also remain as shareholders of RBS: Jayme Sirotsky (president emeritus), Pedro Sirotsky, Sônia Pacheco Sirotsky and Fernando Ernesto Corrêa.
The corporate reorganization was also carried out with the purpose of bringing the company’s partners even closer together, reinforcing RBS’s commitment to Rio Grande do Sul at this very challenging time for the State.
In addition to continuing as Publisher (responsible for the editorial line), Nelson Sirotsky will become the chairman of the newly created Board of Directors, and Fernando Tornaim will be vice-chairman. Gilberto Meiches, Marcelo Damasceno Ferreira and Mauricio Sirotsky Neto will remain as board members. RBS businessmen and shareholders Pedro Sirotsky and Geraldo Corrêa will also be part of the board, which will also include Roberto Sirotsky, a businessman in the digital and communications sector and a member of the third generation of the Sirotsky family.
In addition to the existing Editorial Board and Finance, Risk and Compliance Committee, three new committees connected to the Management Board are being created, with the aim of monitoring strategic and relevant topics for the future of business: People/Governance (ESG); Market/Product; Innovation/Digital.
RBS Ventures, the media capital of the RBS Group, created in 2022, and which already has in its portfolio investments made in the companies Pulso Creators, Player 1, Ventures Estádios, Kravi Portaria Remota, Salute and Doji, will continue under the leadership of Mauricio Sirotsky Neto.
