Izabella Teixeira joins the advisory board of the Business Leaders Group
Former Minister of the Environment and co-chair of the UN’s International Panel on Natural Resources, Izabella Teixeira takes over as co-chairwoman of Lide – Group of Business Leaders.
Izabella joins the advisory board of Lide, led by Luiz Fernando Furlan (former Minister of Development), Henrique Meireles (former Minister of Finance), Celso Lafer (former Minister of International Relations) and João Doria.
A career civil servant at the Brazilian Institute of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama), Izabella Teixeira holds a PhD in environmental planning from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
She has dedicated four decades entirely to the sector, and served as Minister of State for the Environment between 2010 and 2016. She was then elected to the UN panel and became a member of the Council of the Organization’s Division for Social and Economic Affairs.
