“The NFL is taking over the city of São Paulo for its first game in Brazil, providing an exciting experience for fans. We want to extend our thanks to Mayor Nunes and SPTuris for hosting the league in this incredible city and such an iconic location. It will be an action-packed weekend full of NFL action, making it a monumental moment,” said Gerrit Meier, General Manager of NFL International.
Among the activations for the public will be interactive challenges, NFL Flag clinics and sports memorabilia, such as the Vince Lombardi Trophy, the 58 Super Bowl championship rings and NFL team helmets on display, in addition to the screening of the weekend’s games, including the match between the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers, which will take place in São Paulo.
The venue will feature the Born to Play gallery, which showcases the faces and places that live the sport in different regions of Brazil, signed by photographer Luisa Dörr, and will receive activations from the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots teams, which have marketing rights in the country through the NFL’s Global Markets Program.
Finally, the NFL Experience will also feature the NFL Shop, presented by Visa, which offers official NFL merchandise from all 32 teams, as well as exclusive game-specific items in Brazil.
“Holding an NFL game in São Paulo reinforces our city’s vocation as one of the main destinations for major world events. And to welcome the NFL, we have prepared a unique experience so that the entire population can feel the pleasure and adrenaline of the games,” added Ricardo Nunes.
