The Sandubinha do Bem page has been attracting attention on the internet with its timeless humor, without gender or generation bias. The channel, with 184 thousand followers, has practically doubled in size this year and has closed partnerships with several brands such as Heinz, Rappi, Dr. Peanut, Ticket and was invited by Sony to be part of the communication strategy for a new film that will be released soon. There are contracts until October of this year.
One of the characters, Pastel Medina, wished good luck to three-time world surfing champion – and now Olympic medalist – Gabriel Medina with the post “Surfing is the only category in which you can at least win bronze”. The page also created the character Bia Sopa, in reference to Bia Souza, a judo medalist, and Fruta Marquezine, in homage to actress Bruna Marquezine.
The Instagram page was created in 2022 by visual artist Wesley Mercês, who is behind the comic strips and became a partner at Sandubolândia. “The purpose is always to make the reader laugh. In some cases, we also provide information in tables. But the space was created to entertain the public,” says Wesley. The character Sandubinha do Bem was initially thought up by entrepreneurs Rodrigo Conte and Sidnei Ziek.
