The largest innovation and data efficiency event in Latin America brought together around 2,500 executives from the retail sector and the fast-moving consumer goods industry
Scanntech, a leading company in providing market information used by 90% of the main retailers in the food channel and more than 300 of the largest industries, held the third edition of (In) Motion. The event, which has established itself as the main discussion forum on innovation and efficiency in data in Latin America, brought together approximately 2,500 executives from the retail sector and the fast-moving consumer goods industry on August 7th, at the Convention Hall in the Anhembi District, in São Paulo. The program included talks by national and international renown, such as Marc Randolph, co-founder of Netflix, who emphasized: “It is important to persist with an idea, without wasting time evaluating whether it is good or not. Just believe in it and put it into practice as quickly as possible”; Jason Goldberg, director of trade strategy at the Publicis group; Zeina Latif, economist, columnist for Estadão and managing partner at Gibraltar Consulting; and Pascal Finette, from be radical, formerly of Google, eBay and Mozilla, among others.
The event was hosted by Scanntech co-founders Benny Szylkowski (Global President), Soledad Fernandez (CTO), and Raul Polakof (CEO), as well as Thomaz Machado, CEO of Scanntech Brasil.
In this edition, Scanntech, in partnership with Google, McKinsey and FIA Business School, launched the ‘(IN) Nova Award – Impact Innovations’ to recognize and celebrate fast-moving consumer goods brands in the Brazilian industry that are at the forefront of innovation. The unprecedented award used an exclusive methodology developed by FIA Business School and McKinsey & Company combining the vision of experts with indicators from the Scanntech and Google databases, evaluating products launched between April 2023 and May 2024 in the national food retail sector. 13 brands were celebrated, in the food, beverage, cleaning, perfumery and social impact categories, among the winning companies are: Cimed, Coca-Cola, Coco Leve, Flora, Franui, L’oreal, Monster Drinks, Nestlé, Unilever, Verom and Ypê. “Our goal is to recognize companies that seek to stand out in today’s competitive market and encourage innovation and development in the sector,” says Priscila Ariani, marketing director at Scanntech.
