Will Smith has always alternated dramatic films with action blockbusters. He is currently reaping his laurels from his performance in the drama. King Richard (available on HBO Max). It already won the SAG Awards last Sunday. It is the favorite for the Critics Choice, which takes place on the 13th, and for the Oscars, on the 27th of this month. But of course the actor does not forget about action movies. So much so that today it was announced that the actor will star in a sequel to his greatest hits, I’m the Legend from 2007.
The movie is available on HBO Max as well. In it, Will is Robert Neville, a brilliant scientist. He is the sole survivor of an epidemic that has turned humans into bloodthirsty mutants. Walking through New York City, he searches for other possible survivors. And he also tries to find a cure for the plague using his own blood, which is immune.
But the big news is that the sequel, in addition to Will, will have another big name. Michael B. Jordan will co-star, and will also co-produce along with Will Smith. They haven’t published details about the story yet. But it is already known that the award-winning Akiva Goldsman, who wrote the script for the first one, will be responsible for the script of this one. There is still no director chosen.
