Advertising professional Roberto Tourinho, current president of Sinapro-SP and member of the Board of Directors and Director of CENP, has taken over as Executive Director of Propeg in São Paulo. Propeg is the 18th largest agency in Brazil and one of the 3 largest independent agencies, according to the 2023 Cenp-Meios ranking. After a year on Propeg’s Board of Directors, Tourinho will now focus on developing new businesses and partnerships, with a focus on the agency’s growth in the private market.
“Taking on the executive management role in São Paulo of an agency as important as Propeg is a very stimulating challenge, especially at this time of profound transformations in the business model and the format of communication, which is increasingly based on data and technology, but without losing the creative sparkle and human connection with the consumer,” says Roberto Tourinho.
For Propeg, the arrival of the executive represents an opportunity to increase competitiveness and reach new heights. Tourinho joins the team with a focus on new business, with São Paulo as a strategic unit, but operating throughout Brazil, since the agency has 6 business units in the country.
“Tourinho returns to Propeg with a wealth of experience and an important mission in our future growth strategy. We are very happy and excited to announce him as the new CEO of São Paulo,” said Vitor Barros, CEO of Propeg.
With 40 years of professional experience, 28 of which dedicated to the Communications Industry, Tourinho was a partner at Propeg from 1996 to 2001, when he held the position of Director of Administration and Finance. During his career in the advertising market, he was a Founding Partner and CEO of Grupo PPR, the Holding Company of the Quê and NBS agencies, from 2002 to 2013, and VP of Management and Operations at NBS from 2014 to 2020. Before assuming the presidency of Sinapro-SP – in the current administration, he held the position of VP of the entity for 12 years and was also Financial Director of ABAP.
“We are happy and confident to bring Roberto back to our team. He is one of the best professionals in Brazil, and has an admirable character and integrity,” says Fernando Barros, Chairman of Propeg.
During his career, Tourinho has worked with important clients, such as Oi, Petrobras, Coca-Cola, Bob’s, Panasonic, SECOM – DF, Mercado Pago, BRB – Banco Regional de Brasília, Iguatemi S/A, IFood, O Boticário, Ferrero Rocher, among others.
At the head of Sinapro-SP, he has been promoting a renewal in management, with the aim of bringing the entity even closer to agencies and the market, and contributing to its development.
