Exactly 12 months ago, female executives represented only 30% of management positions
Among the results achieved in Gabriela Onofre’s first year as CEO of Publicis Groupe in Brazil, one of them directly reflects the commitment to gender equality: 70% of the Group’s senior leadership is now made up of women.
This is a significant improvement in a market still dominated by men, especially considering that 12 months ago the proportion was the opposite, with only 30% of the Group’s leaders being women. This figure includes CEOs and Managing Directors of agencies and business units, as well as female executives in charge of areas at the Group’s headquarter level.
“I am very proud to be part of a company where female leaders are seen and celebrated. I am happy with the milestone of 70% female leaders in command, but more than that, I am excited to learn about the stories that our executives represent and inspire, paving fertile paths for many other leaders to emerge on the horizon,” celebrates Gabi. The executive was the first person to hold the position of CEO of Publicis Groupe in Brazil.
The executive also comments on the Group’s next steps in relation to the inclusion agenda: “The progress on the gender agenda is remarkable, but we know that we still have a lot of room to advance on other fronts, such as racial representation and the LGBTQIAPN+ community. We continue with this mission”, she states.
