Shopee created a dedicated page to highlight women’s stores and products on the platform
Shopee announced the #ElasNaShopee campaign, which runs March 7-13.
The action includes a page dedicated to women entrepreneurs and products focused on female empowerment.
Sales will be linked to the donation “You buy and Shopee donates” and for every dollar spent in selected stores, Shopee will donate the same amount to the non-profit organization Speak Woman Associationwhich works to defend and guarantee women’s rights.
Donations will be limited to R$200,000 and anyone who wants to make direct donations to the institution can do so via the NGO “store” on the Shopee Donations page.
“We are committed to supporting local entrepreneurship and communities in the regions where we operate. Through our accessible platform, we enable salespeople to start their online sales journeys and we want to help more and more women to be able to undertake and have their financial independence”, commented Leila Carcagnoli, Marketplace category leader at Shopee.

With custom illustrations made by artists Ilustra Clementine and Lovemaltine, the #ElasNaShopee page features a selection of 10 platform sellers from different categories, 3 product collections: Empowered Readings, Female Protagonism and Made by Women.
On social media, Shopee will make content about female employability in partnership with the company’s careers page, and will partner with influencer Gabi Moretti to talk about the date’s initiatives.
