AMIG (Association of Women in the Gaming Industry) was created with the aim of increasing female participation in the gaming and betting market. Founded by Ana Bárbara Costa Teixeira, Ana Helena Pamplona, Bárbara Teles, Luciana Hendrich, Natalia Nogues and Teresa Caeiro, the association seeks to address the gender imbalance present in the industry.
Currently, only 28% of executive positions in the global gaming industry are held by women, according to All-Index. AMIG aims to improve these numbers by promoting the active participation of women in the industry through support and opportunities for professional development.
To achieve its goals, AMIG is open to partnerships with companies that wish to support the inclusion of women in the industry. The association offers certification seals to organizations that commit to gender equality. These seals are classified into three categories: Queen (Gold), Lady (Silver) and Player (Bronze), reflecting different levels of engagement with the cause.
AMIG currently has over 380 members and is expanding. The association encourages women interested in the gaming and betting sector to join in order to promote greater representation in the market. More information on how to join or support the initiative is available on the AMIG website.
