According to data from the IBGE, currently more than 10 million young people (between 15 and 29 years old) neither work nor study. Known as the neither-nor generation, the lack of opportunities to enter the job market is one of the main issues affecting them, not the lack of interest as many say. In an attempt to change this scenario, the Ser+ Institute is launching a campaign this week asking for companies’ support in hiring young apprentices.
Produced by Ellah Filmes and guaranteed to be shown on TV Globo, the film tells the story of young people who, after an opportunity to enter the job market, had their lives transformed. The young woman who narrates the campaign felt more confident and was also able to start studying. Today, in addition to being a young apprentice, she is an economics student. And this is the beginning of the professional journey of these young people who, with the support of people who believe and invest in the potential of these stories, continue to transform lives.
The campaign invites companies to access the website to support young people who just need an opportunity to start a great life story and professional career.
