Lotteries Caixa, Braskem, Toyota, Ajinomoto, Havaianas and Asics are the companies that will be alongside CPB
The Olympic atmosphere is still lingering over Paris and, starting this Wednesday (28), the city will become the stage for the 2024 Paralympic Games.
This year, the Brazilian Paralympic Committee will have the largest delegation to the Games outside of Brazil, totaling 280, including 255 people with disabilities (138 men and 117 women), 19 guide athletes (18 for athletics and 1 for triathlon), three bocce players, two blind football goalkeepers and a rowing helmsman.
The team will also have six sponsors: Loterias Caixa, Braskem, Toyota, Ajinomoto, Havaianas and Asics, which entered the hall of brands in 2023, at the Parapan American Games in Santiago. In addition to these, CPB also has partnerships with Sesi, Sebrae, KPMG, Aliança Francesa, The Adecco Group, EY Institute, Cambridge and Estácio.
“Having great partners like these allows us to reach a large portion of the public and reaffirm our mission, which is to promote Paralympic sport, from beginners to high performance, and the inclusion of people with disabilities in society,” said Loraine Rícino, CPB’s marketing director.
To invite the public to cheer for the athletes who will represent Brazil in the competition, the Committee launched an institutional campaign, entitled “More than winners, Brazilians”.
The piece, produced by Bushatsky Filmes and Ogilvy Brasil, aims to swell the crowd and raise awareness among the population about inclusion.
In addition, the CPB also launched the series “From inclusion to the podium”, which has four 20-minute episodes that will air on Sportv and Globoplay and will tell the personal and professional journeys of the athletes.
The project seeks to reveal the different layers of the Paralympic Movement, addressing not only sport, but also issues of inclusion, representation and the importance of positive references for new generations.
Transmissions
This year’s Paralympic Games will be broadcast by Grupo Globo, on the Sportv 2 channel, on closed TV, and on Globoplay.
In total, the company will broadcast the opening and closing ceremonies and eight sports, including swimming, wheelchair basketball, blind football, sitting volleyball, judo, goalball and cycling.
On the internet, the broadcast will be the responsibility of the International Paralympic Committee, which has entered into a partnership with YouTube and will feature more than a thousand hours of programming.
