The demand for qualified professionals in artificial intelligence grew 39% between January and April this year compared to the same period last year, according to a survey by recruitment consultancy Michael Page. The survey also indicates that the salary of AI specialists can range from R$15,000 to R$32,000.
Given this scenario, Qualifica SP – Novo Emprego, a program managed by the Secretariat for Economic Development (SDE), opens registrations this Wednesday (28) for 2,500 vacancies in an artificial intelligence course, carried out in partnership with Google Cloud and the Fundação Apoio à Tecnologia (FAT).
The free online course “Artificial Intelligence – Google Cloud” presents, in three modules, an overview of the concepts of generative artificial intelligence, from the foundations of large language models to the principles of responsibility. The course is 50 hours long and can be completed over a month and a half, divided into 30 hours of program content, 12 hours of tutoring and eight hours of socio-emotional skills.
Upon completing the training and meeting all requirements, students will be invited to participate in the ‘Job Fair – Opportunities Fair’, an event with internship and job offers that will take place in November.
Applications must be submitted through the website www.qualificasp.sp.gov.br by September 22. Residents of the state of São Paulo over the age of 18 may participate. Candidates must take qualifying tests after completing their application. The call will be made by email.
With these 2,500 vacancies, SDE will offer a total of 8,000 vacancies in courses in partnership with Google Cloud. In July, applications were opened for 5,500 vacancies in cloud computing and artificial intelligence courses.
Job Fair – Opportunities Fair
At the end of each module, an assessment will be conducted to obtain the Google Cloud ‘skills badge’, which represents recognition from the company that the person has knowledge of that specific skill. Students who obtain the necessary badges and have at least 75% attendance in classes will be able to participate in the Job Fair – Opportunities Fair, a virtual event with internship and job offers, promoted by Google Cloud and partner companies, which will take place in November.
