Under penalty of suspension of the social network in the country, the clash between Alexandre de Moraes and Elon Musk gains a new chapter
Minister Alexandre de Moraes determined that Elon Musk, owner of X (formerly Twitter), has 24 hours to appoint a Brazilian representative, under penalty of suspension of the social network in the country.
The decision was published on Wednesday night (28) and communicated on the social network of the Supreme Federal Court (STF). The determination aims to enforce the rule stipulated by the Internet Civil Rights Framework, which requires companies to have a legal representative in the country.

According to information released by Uol and G1, the subpoena happened this way because, after the closure of X’s office in Brazil, the court was unable to contact anyone from the company.
The clash between Moraes and Musk is not new and began in April of this year, when the minister ordered the opening of an investigation against the businessman, after he stated that he would release accounts that had been suspended by court decisions.
