Advertisements for the positions of mayors and councilors will be on air until October 3rd
Free electoral airtime on radio and TV for the 1st round of the 2024 Municipal Elections is now available.
Starting this Friday (30), candidates for the positions of mayor and deputy mayor will occupy 20 minutes on the network per day, both on TV and radio, until October 3.
According to information provided by the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), the communications will be divided into two 10-minute blocks and will be shown from Monday to Saturday. In addition, candidates will have 70 minutes per day in inserts of up to one minute, including on Sundays, for the positions of mayor and city councilor.
On the radio, the campaign block will be broadcast from 7:00 a.m. to 7:10 a.m. and from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. On TV, the programs will be shown from 1:00 p.m. to 1:10 p.m. and from 8:30 p.m. to 8:40 p.m. The inserts will take place in three time blocks — from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to midnight — in a proportion of 60%, that is, 42 minutes for the mayor’s office and the other 40%, representing 28 minutes, for the city councilor’s office.
By order of the TSE, all campaigns must have captions, a window with a sign language interpreter and audio description.
