In this International Women’s Day, it is important to recognize the fantastic role that many women play facing many obstacles throughout their careers, especially in the classical advertising scene marked by sexist aspects. PDA is an agency that exceeded expectations, born from the discomfort with the old school market and growing with partnerships with big names such as Heineken, Esic and Baston, always proposing solutions focused on the humanization of each business. But none of this would be possible without them in the lead.
Meet the amazing women who make up the PDA team:
“Being a leader and a woman in the 21st century is quite complicated, at PDA I found time and a voice to bring out my leadership. Currently at PDA I hold the position of VP of Accounts, helping both the PDA team as a whole, being its management and also the agency’s client portfolio. Since female leadership is to be multitasking in any aspect, whether in the advertising area or not. Seeing that today the PDA is increasing female leadership is gratifying because I see that more and more we can achieve different goals. Today at PDA, I see all women united for a single goal, increasingly shining in communication and advertising.”
– Maryane Vitória Souza / VP of Accounts
“Being a young woman and a leader is very challenging. And it can happen that thoughts come that make us want to give up, but having a feminine current around us is the biggest differentiator and gives us a strength never imagined. PDA has incredible energy and the women here are professionals who are very committed to the good of all.”
– Bárbara Franco / Creative Director
“Despite having been working in the advertising market for a considerable time, I never had the opportunity to practice everything I learned by studying and also in all the places I’ve worked. I came to PDA at the agency’s turning point, when they saw the need to bring greater female representation and give voice to women working in this sector. Here, I managed to have the freedom to put into practice everything I learned. Today, in the operations department, I implement processes and organize teams with innovation, to speed up our deliveries, always keeping in mind the objective of managing everyone with great care, compassion and professionalism.”
– Dayane Macedo / Director of Operations
“I chose advertising as a way to have a voice, not only that, but to give people a voice, to be able to earn my place in the profession I love! Today I am Director of Digital Public Relations at this agency that is a reference in humanity, and that is what I want to pass on to my team, humanity, representation and respect. That on this Women’s Day we can pass on more of our vision to society, and more than gifts, we want to be heard and see changes.”
– Nicole Renata / PR Director
“I am happy to be part of PDA as Director of Talents and Culture, and I always seek to add a welcoming and empathetic look to all the processes and actions that I implement in our agency. My mission is to build, together with the whole team, a healthy and friendly work environment, where everyone feels valued and happy so that they can have creative and out-of-the-box ideas. I believe that we all have something special and unique to contribute, and I always seek to exalt the qualities of each person I have the joy of meeting on this journey, preparing them for a future full of success and bright opportunities!”
– Amanda Bugay Valerio / Director of Talents and Culture
“Agência PDA provided me with a space with these three elements at the same time, being able to explore – from home – new possibilities in a completely new area for me: advertising. In the company, I feel more and more determined, seeing the way it lifts its employees, placing more and more trust and confidence in us, so that we can reach leadership together. Every day I learn more and more to use my skills in an original way, receiving enormous professional support and motivation to increasingly think outside the box.”
– Antonia Leão / Copywriter
“I’m Gabriela Gomes, better known as Gabô. Bachelor of Visual Arts from Belas Artes, I work in the arts as an artist and production assistant, understanding these as proposing and experimental fields to print a vision of the world! At PDA I provide production assistance on projects, covering paths and desires to achieve the best results to be conceived in the audiovisual sector.”
– Gabriela Gomes / Project Production Intern
At PDA I found space to be who I am and what I want to achieve. A space for development and growth in a light and challenging way at the same time. I feel that everyone works together with the same goal, our client’s success and with that, everyone’s success! I work with determined women who are constantly looking to evolve and deliver the best!”
– Jessica Cristina de Oliveira / BI Intern
“I have a very creative soul that always needs to be fed, and being in the midst of references, inspirations, music, paintings, writings that reflect the core of whoever made it is what feeds me. All this the PDA gives me every day. Alongside other amazing women, I’ve been learning as an operations intern, and I’ve had the opportunity to do everything I see at university. It is gratifying to see theory in practice. I know that here my talents are seen and valued every day, and that makes me want to learn more and more. I thank Thiago for his discerning look and his usual affection, for providing us with equal opportunities and the chance to learn from those who already shine in the advertising market.”
– Ana Loredo / Operations Intern
“My name is Emily Souza, I’m 21 years old. I’m a Social Media Marketing Intern at Agência PDA, and Writer of the Vandalize Blog. Bachelor in Social Work and Post-Graduate in Communication and Marketing, I feel motivated by the possibilities of reach and impacts provided by writing and social media. In my spare time, I like to watch series, play Free Fire or Candy Crush, and ride my bike.”
– Emily Souza / PR Intern.
“At age 11, I discovered in literature an incredible new world, where I made friends, lived adventures and unraveled mysteries. As a teenager I learned to express myself through words, but due to excessive shame and lack of courage, I didn’t share my texts with anyone. I took some time away from writing and ventured into different areas, it was a little difficult to change areas after I was thirty, but I was lucky, PDA believed in me and today I am a script intern and I can share my stories with others .”
– Bruna M. Rosa / Audiovisual Intern
Certified in 2021 as a Great Place to Work, PDA is an agency focused not only on quality campaigns, but also on the development of our employees. We are the home of Brazilian brands, valuing women forever.
