IAB Brazil will have a new CEO: Denise Porto Hruby will take over from Cris Camargo, who held the position for 11 years. The announcement is the result of a transition made over the last few months to ensure the independent position of the digital advertising association. Hruby brings with her solid business management and leadership experience.
With a degree in business administration from PUC-Rio, Hruby specialized in corporate counseling at Saint Paul Business School and the University of Cape Town. Before joining IAB Brasil, she was a partner at Blinks and, after leading the merger with Essence, she became CEO of the new organization, Blinks Essence. During her 9 years as manager, including the sale of the company to the holding company WPP, the agency grew from 20 to over 250 employees.
He also worked at Google, both in Brazil and at the headquarters in California, where he lived for 7 years. For the last 4 years, he served on the board of PUC-Rio. And for the last two years, he was on sabbatical, when he took the opportunity to study and expand his knowledge on topics such as corporate governance, risk management and mediation.
“My career in several companies has allowed me to develop a holistic view of the ecosystem, with all the nuances that the digital advertising sector demands. Therefore, I bring an analytical and unbiased view to promote best practices for and with associates”, explains Denise Porto Hruby.
“Leadership of a sector organization like the IAB requires a professional capable of self-management, resilience and entrepreneurship. These are undoubtedly highly recognized characteristics of Denise. Not to mention that her professional experience, which includes platforms, clients and agencies, only adds value to this sophisticated advertising ecosystem within our association. As president of the entity, I am certain that I, as well as the entire board, council and team, are together for a smooth transition,” says Ana Moises, president of IAB Brazil.
“We have worked hard in recent months to ensure that the transition takes place, ensuring the continuity of the actions carried out so far, by a leadership that shares the values developed and has the same focus,” says Cris Camargo.
