The transition will take place at the end of the year and the executive will become responsible for Big Brother Brasil and Estrela da Casa
José Bonifácio Brasil de Oliveira, known as Bobinho, will leave Globo at the end of this year. The announcement was made last Friday (13). With his departure, Rodrigo Dourado will take over as director of Gênero Reality, also being responsible for Big Brother Brasil and Estrela da Casa.
Dourado has been on BBB since its first edition and moved from journalism to entertainment, where he started on the reality show in 2002, as an editor. A few seasons later, the executive became director and began taking care of the content, post-production and party management.
In ‘BBB 15’, he took on the general direction of the attraction, a position he held until the 2021 edition of the reality show, when he became the artistic director.
During the years he worked in TV Globo’s entertainment industry, Rodrigo Dourado also worked on other reality and variety shows such as ‘No Limite’, ‘Fama’, ‘Estrelas’, ‘The Voice’, ‘Hipertensão’ and ‘O Jogo’.
Boninho’s departure
After 40 years, Boninho announced his departure from the network through a post on his Instagram profile. During the transition period, he will direct Roberto Carlos’ special and, at the end of the year, he will end his contract, in mutual agreement with Globo.
According to a statement released by the broadcaster, this month talks began with the executive for a new partnership as an artistic talent, with features and participation in programs, in addition to the development of new projects, but Boninho reportedly refused and chose to continue working as a creator, but independently.
