In July 2024, Tomorrowland celebrated its 20th anniversary edition, bringing together 400,000 people from over 200 nations over two weekends in Belgium. For its arrival in Brazil, the electronic music festival announces a new collaboration with Amazon Music to present the documentary ‘We Are Tomorrow’ – which offers an in-depth look at the magic, music and global community that defines Tomorrowland in a prelude to the Brazilian edition that will take place between October 10th and 13th, at Parque Maeda (Itu/SP). To warm up, the short film is now available on YouTube and Amazon Music.
‘We Are Tomorrow’ is a 23-minute cinematic journey that chronicles the stories of its protagonists, including Brazilian DJ and producer Vintage Culture, as they journey through life to become the artist they are today. Each of the featured artists shares their personal stories of what Tomorrowland means to them, alongside stunning footage from the festival. Transcending the boundaries of music, culture and emotion, ‘We Are Tomorrow’ offers audiences an intimate look at the iconic music festival from their homes, authentically and unfilteredly portraying the different protagonists as they journey through the festival and take part in the celebration on the festival grounds.
“I couldn’t live without music. Music has this power to connect, so I prefer to let the music speak for me. When words fail, the music speaks. Because music is infinite, you have infinite possibilities. My head is always thinking about music. Tomorrowland means a lot to me. I’m very proud that they’re in Brazil, my home. It’s very important for the scene. I remember watching the first aftermovies and saying: one day I want to be there,” says Vintage Culture.
The documentary ‘We Are Tomorrow’ not only celebrates the legacy of Tomorrowland, but also offers an in-depth and personal look at the impact the festival has on those who are part of it. With moving images and stories, the film transcends the boundaries of music and culture, giving viewers an immersive experience of the iconic event. Available now on YouTube and Amazon Music, ‘We Are Tomorrow’ is a tribute to the unity and magic that Tomorrowland represents for fans and attendees around the world.
Tomorrowland’s mission is to bring people from all over the world together through music and unity, welcoming hundreds of thousands of People of Tomorrow to its magical atmosphere, to the sounds of the greatest electronic music artists in Boom, Belgium. In 2024, this magic will once again come to Brazil, in its only and largest edition outside Europe. The documentary ‘We Are Tomorrow’ reflects the spirit of Tomorrowland and the global community that the festival has cultivated over the past 20 years.
In 2023, the documentary ‘We Are Tomorrow’ was awarded the Webby Award, being recognized as Best Video – Events and Live Broadcasts at the 28th edition of the awards. Considered by The New York Times as “the highest honor on the Internet”, the Webby Awards are organized by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), and are one of the main international awards that recognize excellence on the Internet.
