The 30th edition of the ABEMD (Brazilian Data Marketing Association) Awards will take place on September 26th (Thursday) in São Paulo. The awards recognize the best ideas involving data marketing. This year, 230 cases were registered in four categories: Campaign/Program; Digital/Mobile; CRM/Loyalty; and Call Center/Contact Center. The finalists include companies and agencies such as Atento, Comunick, Livelo, Unilever, Natura, Bradesco Seguros, Almap BBDO/Grupo Boticário, BRF/Sadia, Nestlé, BBRO&Co, Godiva Propaganda, Garage, PH3A, Plusoft, Marketdata and Serasa Experian, among others.
“The ABEMD Awards party is an event that the market looks forward to, almost like an annual conference, marked by a glamorous night full of experiences,” says the association’s president, Claudia Campos, who, to celebrate the award’s 30th anniversary, used the acclaimed Hollywood film “Back to the Future” starring Michael J. Fox, from 1985, as a backdrop.
The ABEMD Award was created in 1994, with the encouragement of Pio Borges, who already saw the importance of recognizing successful cases in the direct marketing sector. Over the years, more than 6,000 cases were registered, 2,000 were awarded and 20 were honored for social projects, involving more than 400 companies and agencies.
The ABEMD “walk of fame”, created to honor professionals who contributed to the development of Direct Marketing in Brazil, has featured names such as Eduardo Souza Aranha, Nelson Grunenberg A. Reis, Gerson Cury, Antonio Carlos Carletto, Alexandre Jau and others. “Some of them will be at the party on Thursday, such as Eduardo Souza Aranha; Nelson Grunenberg A. Reis; Gerson Cury; Antonio Carlos Carletto; Hugo Rodrigues, among others,” highlights Claudia.
“It is very rewarding to be leading such a large project of such importance to different industries, since this is the largest award with national scope. Returning the ‘certification’ of such assertive work to the winning cases every year is the greatest contribution that ABEMD has in terms of data to the market, as well as human talent”, says Claudia.
The ABEMD 2024 Award trophies, created by Projeto Acrílicos, were redesigned to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the award, with a more elegant and innovative design. “We wanted to make it more square to ensure this more elegant final result”, concludes Claudia.
