Campaign includes a film, created by the Nacional Comunicação agency, radio spots and other digital pieces
The Ministry of Health has launched a new national campaign on organ donation. With the slogan “Organ donation. We need to talk about it”, the campaign, created by the National Communications agency and produced by Maria Quitéria and Arte e Estudioarte e Produção Musical, reinforces the importance of dialogue among Brazilian families. This way, everyone is aware, should they ever need a donor or find themselves having to decide about donating. In addition to the film, the strategy also includes radio spots, which feature real testimonies of organ donation, as well as other digital media campaigns.
To reflect on the need to talk about the subject, several families were invited to participate in a social experiment. Initially, members were visibly uncomfortable with the subject, and many even refused to talk about it. So, when one member of each family was removed from the location, the question was asked again to the relatives who remained: what would it be like for them if the person who left needed a donation? After the new question, the family members were visibly impacted by the new situation, showing that, when donating organs involves a close person, the answer changes.
