GUT announced the launch of GUT Singapore, the global creative network’s first office in Asia and tenth overall. The operation will be led by Jessica Davey, who takes over as managing director for Asia, following a two-year stint as SVP, Head of Clients at Media.Monks APAC. The CCO will be Carlos Camacho, ex-DAVID, and the Head of Strategy will be Belynda Sim-Mak, ex-Cultural Strategy Lead at Le Pub APAC. Both will report to GUT’s global CEO, Andrea Diquez.
The team in Singapore also includes Liz Leow, as account director, coming from ADK, and Meyvi Wedelia, creative director, who worked at Toaster.
GUT’s expansion includes the recent launch of GUT New York, the creation of the Globant GUT Network, unveiled in Cannes, and the opening of GUT Madrid earlier this year. With these moves, the agency strengthens its global presence, expanding its operations in North America, Europe and now Asia.
“It’s incredible to be able to open our first office in Asia, and tenth overall after just six years. This move makes GUT a truly global agency network that can serve clients anywhere in the world. Having worked in the region, I know first-hand the incredible opportunity this market represents”, says Andrea Diquez, Global CEO. “I’m thrilled to welcome Jess, Carlos and Belynda, three experts in this dynamic and diverse region, to help further accelerate our incredible growth.”
Jessica Davey has over 20 years of experience working with major brands such as Google, Coca-Cola, Unilever and Samsung. She held leadership positions in networks such as Ogilvy, Geometry and McCann, with stints in Europe and APAC. Davey highlights his enthusiasm for the new role and Singapore’s potential for GUT’s creative approach.
“I am incredibly honored to lead GUT’s first office in Asia. Singapore’s diversity, innovative spirit and vibrant energy are a perfect fit for GUT’s bold creative approach,” comments Jessica Davey, Managing Director of Asia. “I’m excited to build on GUT’s unparalleled momentum and drive further growth in this dynamic market.”
Carlos Camacho, with experience in Asia, Latin America and Europe, reinforces his expectation of collaborating with GUT to develop impactful creative projects.
“I have great admiration for what GUT has achieved in the last six years and I am excited to bring this bold and fearless spirit to Asia”, adds Carlos Camacho, CCO. “Our team is ready to push boundaries and create work that not only stands out, but creates real growth and impact.”
