Bayard Esportes, known for its line of team shirts and sports items from brands such as Nike, Puma and Adidas, launched a new re-commerce platform focused on the circular economy. With 69 years of experience, the company seeks to encourage conscious consumption with *Bayard Replay*, where consumers can sell their used products and receive credits for new purchases. It is also possible to donate the items to a partner NGO or dispose of them properly, reducing the environmental impact.
“We are passionate about sports and our goal is to provide our customers with a healthier and more balanced life through the best curation of products. We already offer concierge service and now we want to use the same knowledge so that pre-owned, high-quality products can be part of other people’s stories”, says Lucas Zimmermann, from Bayard Esportes.
Developed by Loopify, a startup that recently received a R$4 million investment from Hiker Ventures, *Bayard Replay* offers products in good condition, such as shoes, accessories and clothing, at competitive prices. Consumers can find football team shirts, smartwatches, rackets and sports shoes.
Interested parties can sell products through the platform and obtain credits for new purchases, with collection carried out both in physical stores and online, with free shipping for the second option. The platform’s system filters, classifies and prices items during pre-evaluation, and experts define the final price based on technical and aesthetic criteria. According to GlobalData, the re-commerce market is worth US$175 billion in the United States.
In recent years, Bayard Esportes has expanded to more than 20 stores in the Southeast, South, Northeast and Midwest regions. The company expects *Bayard Replay* to contribute to both revenue generation and environmental impact reduction.
