Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), authorized the return of the activities of the social network X (formerly Twitter) in Brazil and determined that the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) adopt measures to resume the platform’s service .
The company had its operations suspended throughout the country, since 8/30, due to repeated non-compliance with STF decisions.
The minister highlighted that the return of activities was conditioned solely on full compliance with Brazilian legislation and “absolute compliance with the decisions of the Judiciary, in respect for national sovereignty”.
In an opinion, the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) found no reason to prevent the company from returning to its activities.
