Called Black Pact, the program has 30 vacancies available
Artplan, together with the Diversity Committee, launched the Pacto Preto program, a project that aims to accelerate the careers of black talents in positions at different levels of hierarchy.
The action includes partnerships with specialized consultancies, and seeks to transform the agency’s internal dynamics, by promoting greater inclusion and development of black people in future leadership opportunities.
With 30 places available, the program’s methodology includes workshops on self-knowledge, racial literacy, negotiation, professional image, influence and construction of an Individual Development Plan (IDP).
These resources aim to equip participants with essential leadership skills and promote a more inclusive workplace.
“The Black Pact is a commitment to change. We want to bring diversity and equity to the center of decisions in the advertising market and transform the way the market sees the potential of black talents”, said Debora Moura, head of Diversity & Inclusion from Artplan and the Dreamers Group.
According to the latest IBGE demographic census of 2022, around 112 million people declare themselves black or mixed race, accounting for 55.5% of the country’s population.
When we look at our advertising and advertising market, in the 2024 ODP report (Advertising Diversity Observatory), the black population represents 30% of employees in Brazilian agencies, where only 19% of these occupy management positions and 12 % director positions, compared to 79% of managers and 84% of white directors.
