The ibis hotel chain, part of the Accor Group, celebrates 50 years with the expansion of new developments and the launch of the biggest marketing campaign in its history. Founded in 1974 in Bordeaux, France, the ibis family, which includes the brands ibis, ibis budget and ibis Styles, is a key part of Accor’s growth strategy.
In 2024, four new ibis brand hotels will be opened in Brazil, such as the ibis Styles Maragogi (AL) and the ibis Tangará da Serra (MT), adding to this year’s launches, such as the ibis Styles Goiânia Shopping Estação (GO) and the ibis Serra Talhada (PE). The group also plans to sign new contracts by the end of the year, including units such as ibis Styles Patrocínio (MG) and ibis Santa Maria (RS).
“The global recognition of the ibis brands facilitates our franchise expansion strategy, which represents 80% of new contracts signed”, highlights Romulo Silva, director of Franchise Development at Accor Brasil.
