The Brasil Game Show (BGS) 2024, held between the 9th and 13th of October at Expo Center Norte, São Paulo, was a true spectacle of technological innovations, celebrities from the gaming universe and eagerly awaited launches. In its 15th edition, the event maintained its status as the largest games fair in Latin America, attracting thousands of enthusiasts, companies and industry figures.
Prominent names in the games industry participated
The participation of actors Roger Clark, Ned Luke and Shawn Fonteno was one of the highlights of the event. The three actors, famous for bringing iconic characters from the gaming world to life, were present and interacted with the public in various activities, including photo sessions, autographs and interactive panels.
· Roger Clark, known for playing the protagonist Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2, was highly acclaimed by fans of the series, participating in discussions about the creation of the character and behind the scenes of the award-winning game from Rockstar Games.
· Ned Luke and Shawn Fonteno, who respectively brought to life the characters Michael de Santa and Franklin Clinton in GTA V, also participated in the event, sharing curiosities and stories about the production of one of the most iconic titles in the history of video games.
Innovations and Illustrious Presences: Sega and Sonic
One of the most anticipated moments was the presence of composer Jun Senoue, responsible for iconic soundtracks for the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. The public not only had the opportunity to watch the exciting Sonic Symphony, but also participate in photo sessions and autographs with Senoue, as well as try out the brand new SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS game at the booth. Sega also brought a preview of the next Sonic film, as well as a themed area where fans could take photos with the famous blue hedgehog and his friends.
TCL SEMP
TCL SEMP made a strong presence at BGS 2024, standing out with a vibrant stand that had the illustrious presence of Canarinho Pistola, the mascot representing its sponsorship of the Brazilian Football Team. Visitors were able to view autographed shirts from the Brazilian team and participate in game tournaments, which highlighted the excellence of the brand’s equipment for immersive experiences.

One of the highlights of SEMP TCL was the launch of the 115” QD-Mini LED X955 Max TV, the largest in the world, equipped with advanced technology such as Game Accelerator and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. The brand also presented the official C855 TV of Call of Duty Black Ops 6, which promises to enhance the gaming experience with impressive features.

RonaldoTV
The RonaldoTV stand at BGS was a highlight, attracting visitors with the presence of personalities such as comedian Toninho Tornado and gamer Ninext, as well as Ronald, the son of Fenômeno Ronaldo. The space was designed to offer a unique experience to fans, allowing them to interact with these icons. Activities included photo shoots, autographs and a series of interactive content, showing RonaldoTV’s commitment to connecting with the gaming and entertainment community.
Nintendo e Super Mario Party Jamboree
Nintendo, a constant presence in BGS editions, was once again one of the biggest highlights with its stand full of news. Playable titles included Nintendo Switch classics and previews of highly anticipated releases like Super Mario Party Jamboree, which drew long lines of fans eager to try out the company’s new multiplayer party game.
Blizzard e Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred
Blizzard Entertainment, one of the most prestigious North American developers, marked its presence with a themed stand to promote the new expansion for Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred. The space allowed complete immersion in the dark region of Nahantu, with visitors being able to even take themed photos in scenarios inspired by the game, as if they were “tortured” in the jungle.
Samsung: Technology in Focus
Samsung once again showed its strength with the biggest stand at the event, where it showcased its latest launches in TVs, smartphones and monitors. The Odyssey line, already recognized for its low latency and high performance, was one of the highlights among the gamers present. Interestingly, the name “Odyssey” also refers to the first commercial video game in history, the Magnavox Odyssey, an interesting coincidence for fans of the history of video games.
In addition to offering the possibility of testing various games, the Samsung stand brought a surprise: SONIC
In a statement, Thiago Cesar Silva, Marketing Director at Samsung Electronics, highlighted the company’s commitment to the gamer market: “Our goal is to offer the best performance and immersion experience for gamers. With the Odyssey line, we want gamers to feel the difference in the performance of our products, whether in competitions or casual gameplay.”
Samsung’s stand at BGS 2024 also featured a Loud store, an e-sports organization with the largest number of followers on social media in Brazil. “During the event, we had high expectations and our partnership with Samsung takes this experience to the highest level”, explains Bruno Bittencourt, CEO of Loud.
Pichau has an imposing stand with a wide range of tractions
Bruno Santos, Senior Partner Manager at Pichau, shared his experience at BGS, where the company has been present since 2016. He highlighted the importance of the fair as the main connection with gamers in Brazil and Pichau’s tradition of participating in the event annually.
Santos mentioned that Pichau serves all audiences, from beginners to high-performance gamers, and that the company has made efforts to connect with influencers to reach a wider audience. Their expectations for BGS 2024 are high, with a focus on offering entertainment and giveaways, as well as allowing visitors to test products. He emphasized that BGS is a celebration of the relationships built throughout the year, involving influencers who work with Pichau.
Additionally, the company is innovating with collaborations, offering products that bring together diverse interests, such as gaming chairs from popular influencers and well-known gaming themes. Bruno believes the future of the market will focus on collaborations and experiences that connect consumers with brands they love. Bruno concluded: “We are always focused on providing the best possible experience for gamers, bringing high-performance products that meet the demands of the most demanding players and gamers who are looking for more affordable options to build their gamer setup.”
Harman do Brasil (JBL) and the importance of audio in the Gamer experience
Anderson Oliveira, Marketing Director at Harman do Brasil, highlighted the importance of sound immersion in games: “The auditory experience is a decisive factor in competitive games, and our JBL Quantum line offers detailed audio that improves players’ performance and immersion in their virtual worlds.”
The executive highlighted the company’s participation in BGS, where they increased their stand from 150 to 300 square meters. He emphasized the fair’s strong connection with the gaming public and the importance of presenting the JBL Quantum line, including headsets and microphones.
The stand was designed to offer an interactive experience, with areas for popular games such as LOL, FIFA and Just Dance. Oliveira mentioned the collaboration with the eSports team Pain Gaming, the League of Legends champion team, and the brand’s continuous adaptation to new generations, especially Generation Z, with activations and partnerships that reinforce this connection.
He highlighted the relevance of collaborations and influencers in strengthening communication with different gaming communities. The stand offered several activities, including interactions with influencers, giveaways and an activation with Formula 1 simulators, providing a fun and immersive environment for visitors.
eSports and Immersive Experiences
eSports competitions, such as League of Legends, CS:GO and Valorant, moved the BGS arenas, with exciting matches that attracted large audiences. The public also enjoyed BGS Talks, with talks from industry experts who discussed topics such as the future of games, artificial intelligence and virtual reality.
BGS 2024 was a milestone not only for the entertainment offered, but also for the level of technological innovation presented by the companies.
